PureShot is your top-quality filter-free (or #nofilter) app. It helps you capture digital photographs with the highest possible technical integrity—no other app can beat it!

You can then process these on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, or your computer, with no image processing taking place in-app.

You have instant access to everything that can be controlled on an iOS camera.

That means manual focus override—just swipe your finger up and down the viewfinder to control the lens position. And you even get Focus Peaking to help you identify what will be in perfect focus!

It means fully manual exposure control, as well as semi-automatic Shutter Priority and ISO Priority, together with fully automatic exposure with a choice of spot or matrix metering. Automatic and semi-automatic modes also include ±3 Ev. exposure compensation, while the on-screen exposure meter lets you judge your manual exposures to perfection.

And it means the choice of AWB or a selection of white balance presets—and even the ability to create and save a completely custom white balance. Or if you prefer automatic 18% grey card support, you have that too.

And you have all the information you need, all the time, including real-time exposure metering, real-time ISO and shutter-speed readings, Ev, real-time GPS data and a choice of histograms. And many aspects of the interface can be customized, so you can—for example—configure the Shutter Release button to behave the way you want.

Plus:

• A choice of HI_Quality JPEG, MAX-Quality JPEG, TIFF or Camera RAW (on compatible hardware) output

• A choice of standard multi-zone or (positionable) spot-metering for AE

• Configurable tap-to-focus AF. Set-and-lock, or simply define the point-of-interest

• Standard 4:3, square 1:1, 5:5, 35mm 3:2 or HD 16:9 image ratio

• Choice of single shot, 3-shot burst or 3-shot exposure bracket (2-shot bracket on iPhone 4S)

• Real-time ISO, shutter-speed and comprehensive GPS readouts, with optional Ev100, Dynamic Ev, luminance or illuminance reading

• A choice of four real-time histogram options

• Switchable lenses on iPhone 7 plus (28mm and 57mm equivalents)

• AE Night Mode, for real extended shutter speeds of up to 1/2 sec

• Quality-optimized 6X digital zoom

• A comprehensive in-app User Guide

• Much, much more!

PureShot combines the unprecedented output quality of Jag.grs 645 PRO with blistering performance and a compact user interface.

Pros and cons of PureShot app for iPhone and iPad

PureShot app good for

If you are serious about photography, this app is the best!!! Alot of control and options!!!
With the addition of DNG raw support, an already essential app just gained something really special. I wish I had an iPhone 7 plus but the 6s is amazing with the manual controls and true raw support. Use Snapseed for quick true raw edits or just use photoshop on your computer using Adobe CameraRaw. Its unbelievable the amount of information available to you, noise free, in the shadows and highlights, when editing the DNG files. Its amazing. PureShot is the only manual camera with true dSLr features and simple intuitive interface that can easily replace your Apple camera app. Thanks for the update jag.gr
Absolutely wonderful camera — this returns to be my go-to camera of all the cameras updated for iOS 10! And now it also shoots RAW in the DNG format — nice! Imagine — focus-peaking & exposure-highlight and -lowlight peaking! Full manual control of all that iOS allows for a camera! The ability to enlarge the zone that you’re manually focusing on! And more! It can be used as tap-and-shoot and it produces the highest quality images. It can also be configured to select from a huge number of options that allow wonderful level of control over taking a photo. I rely on the histogram on the screen. I am totally impressed with the Night mode, in which I can get a one-second exposure without cranking up the noise level associated with the high ISO setting. Wow! I value the latest addition of the large artificial horizon. I have switched from the old style using the new option. The fill-flash seems remarkable — I might actually use the flash on occasion! The tiger striping used in exposure peaking is excellent. It works well even for small areas. This has been (incorrectly!) labelled as a stripped-down 645Pro. Its not. Its a pure shooter camera (hence the name!) with excellent deep options, and not a pre-filtering camera like the still very useful 645Pro and its excellent pre-filters. Get it and use it!
PureShot remains in my #1 spot in advanced camera apps. It has every camera feature you expect in a "real" camera. The interface is clean and logical. Im especially appreciating addition of the 2x lens selection on the 7 Plus. For people coming to the iPhone with DSLR experience this app makes the easiest transition to iPhoneography.
Im using 645 Pro more these days for landscapes and sunsets but I keep PureShot set on auto bracketing for quick shots. I have a custom white balance I can quickly access for indoor lighting; I dont know of any apps by other developers that give the options I have with PureShot and 645.
This really lets you get all there is from the iPhone camera. You can take HDR pictures, or regular pictures and save the files in a variety of formats, including RAW.

Some bad moments

Good update, still a battery drainer. Please fix that. I love PureShot, but this is not acceptable.
Fails to write or crashes more than it works. Shame because it could be very good. The UI rotation needs to be worked out better. The times it has worked the quality was very good.
Constantly overexposed pictures, multiple shots on different metering schemes, make this an underwhelming app at best and IMHO makes this an useless app. Whats most useless is that this review was written most ago and suppressed!! This misuse of reviews is PURE fraud
This app is buggy. It quite often will not snap the picture. Often there are gray staticy areas on the view screen, that I have no idea how to get rid of, or why they are there. The pictures are no better than the default camera.
I now get seem to 2 shots every time in single shot mode. It also needs the ability to trash a photo immediately from this app. Having to go to camera+ and save it, then open camera roll to delete an image makes this not user friendly enough to select over say camera+.
This app has great quality, a cool ui, and its pretty fast at taking shots.
