Great app!!

Ive used every camera app out there.. Stumbled on this one and havent looked back.. I have 2 SLR and 1 DSLR cameras When Im out and about with my Iphone 5 this is the app I use to shoot.. Thanks for a great app

Fix flash settings

Can you fix the app so that the flash setting dont reset to off after exiting the app?

Refined, clean design

Pros: - refined, clean design - close to DSLR interface - well placed buttons - good histogram and EV options - nice metering options Cons: Little difference between RAW and other image quality types Settings options could be better organized like on real DSLRs

One major flaw

Constantly overexposed pictures, multiple shots on different metering schemes, make this an underwhelming app at best and IMHO makes this an useless app. Whats most useless is that this review was written most ago and suppressed!! This misuse of reviews is PURE fraud

Always amazing

Mike is a smart film guy and has written amazing apps. I got 6x6 way back. Then 6x7. Then 645 and Pureshot. Just fantastic.

Incredible! The fullest set of features all available!

Absolutely wonderful camera — this returns to be my go-to camera of all the cameras updated for iOS 8! Imagine — focus-peaking & exposure-highlight and -lowlight peaking! Full manual control of all that iOS allows for a camera! The ability to enlarge the zone that you’re manually focusing on! And more! It can be used as tap-and-shoot and it produces the highest quality images. It can also be configured to select from a huge number of options that allow wonderful level of control over taking a photo. I rely on the histogram on the screen. I am totally impressed with the Night mode, in which I can get a one-second exposure without cranking up the noise level associated with the high ISO setting. Wow! I value the latest addition of the large artificial horizon. I have switched from the old style using the new option. The fill-flash seems remarkable — I might actually use the flash on occasion! The tiger striping used in exposure peaking is excellent. It works well even for small areas. This has been (incorrectly!) labelled as a stripped-down 645Pro. Its not. Its a pure shooter camera (hence the name!) with excellent deep options, and not a pre-filtering camera like the still very useful 645Pro and its excellent pre-filters. Get it and use it!

Looks fancy, works lousy

This app is buggy. It quite often will not snap the picture. Often there are gray staticy areas on the view screen, that I have no idea how to get rid of, or why they are there. The pictures are no better than the default camera.

Great app!

As a professional photographer I really love this app. Please add HDR to the next versions!

many, many crashes

every time I shoot in night mode and randomly

Best app ti shoot with iPhone

This app let you get all the power o your iPhone right in your hands. Perfect for print, as it produce 24MB dRaw like files, no filter and no compressions, just a pure photo to edit later in other apps

Still not a manual camera

Classic camera features are still missing, you can lock exposure (mix of gain and electronic shutter speed), lock auto white balance and lock auto focus, but you cant manually select a precise value as you do with a normal camera, I would love to have these manual settings: shutter speed, iso, wb (presets and kelvin pluse tone control), digital sharpness (from disabled to maximum), contrast, saturation, manual focus, info out of the picture frame (do a smaller pic frame and put info out of there).

Too many shots

I now get seem to 2 shots every time in single shot mode. It also needs the ability to trash a photo immediately from this app. Having to go to camera+ and save it, then open camera roll to delete an image makes this not user friendly enough to select over say camera+.

Great Quality

This app has great quality, a cool ui, and its pretty fast at taking shots.

Great camera app

Great camera app. Everything you need for the non professional photo enthusiast. Although Im certain professional folks will enjoy it.

Decent but overhyped

Its a decent cam app but it doesnt offer me anything more than I already have in my current go-to cam app, KitCam. The UI is a bit clumsy (eg have to turn on spot metering to enable an exposure target where in other apps I just tap the viewfinder with two fingers). White balance is either auto or off(?). And good luck making sense of all the shutter button options. The developer created this as a simplified version of their 645Pro cam app and while it is simplified it ultimately doesnt deliver much.

"Write failed"

Over and over and over again :-(

New version fixes the picture orientation problem - mostly

Pictures appear correctly in the native iOS Photos app but you still have to rotate the phone to see them in the PureShot viewer. I guess thats the part about PureShot only being a landscape camera. One other small issue Im still having - the picture size ratio button in the bottom right is often hit and changed inadvertently. My pictures are coming out in all different sizes. Otherwise a very good camera alternative.

Pro app reviews is a joke

I believe this app is great and for only $2 it is far better than the basic camera app installed on my iPhone 5. Pro app reviews simply rants and states opinions as if they are facts. He even insults iPhone users and has the audacity to insult other reviewers for giving 5 star reviews. Then has the nerve to suggest he is a "pro app reviewer". Totally lame. The app is what it is. Its a clean camera app and I believe its very easy to use. All my photos have turned out great using it and I have had no problems. Thank you to the developer for taking the effort to make this camera app, I hope to see more. neofaith

Good app

It takes the same pictures as the native app. What it gives you extra is a lot of information about what is going on. If you are used to a camera that shows you f/stops, shutter speeds, ISO, and so on, you will find this very handy.

My go to camera app

A lot of the more "advanced" camera apps literally take longer to setup than a DSLR. This defeats the beauty of the iPhone; that its always with you and ready. I have taken some excellent pics with the app and I like the clean interface. Image quality is as good as the iPhone produce.
