PureShot App Reviews

Really good, but ...

The "i" info button causes the app to crash on both iPhone and iPad.

Very good

The info button causes the app to crash but you can get around that by downloading the user guide from their app support site. The app itself is great, providing a degree of control not available on the iPhone camera alone.

Great Update!

This app is the best of all. Version 4.0 with all the manual controls, ease of use, and stability with iOS 8 make it my number 1 go to again. Ive been going back and fourth between Procamera and Pureshot, but now its Pureshot all the way.

Crashing After Latest Update

Tapping on app results in crash. It needs immediate fix.

The new version is useless

The last two updates have made this app so bad I have stopped using it. I wish I could get a refund. Default app is way better, though doesnt take photos in Tiff like this app. Avoid!!

Nice App 2 Have !

Really worth the price and wish I could add it to shortcut instead of the apples camera.

Nice

Definitely has a spot in my camera bag Doesnt handle multitasking very well however at least in bracket mode. If u switch to another app and come back it can crash.

Fix this app !!!

Crazy behavior with this app and iOS 8.1.2. Erratic screen/controls and support is nowhere to be found. Don’t Buy until they respond and address these issues !!!

App doesnt work

Not working with the new IOS doesnt show a picture when open and crashes every time you change settings... Can I get my $ back?

Average

Average features, but no HDR photo option. Simpler than the complicated 645 Pro app. 2/5/2015: Request update changing the mid-gray transparent borders for all ratios except 4:3. No problem with the solid border for 4:3. The current transparent mid-gray border makes fast .shots virtually impossible. One must first confirm edges of the borders then taken the shot. Just remembering where edges of the borders are is just too taxing.

Buggy

The features set is great, because it seems you need a third-party app to access the full functionality of the iPhone 5s camera. (I wish the Apple camera could just have a Manual option, but no.) The interface is mostly intuitive to SLR users, but a few too many skeuomorphs, like a beveled shutter button and settings dial, which could better be handled with simple graphics. What gets me are a few bugs I’m experiencing with PureShot 4.14 on iOS 8.2 I sometimes get fuzzy lines across the screen, which carry over to the saved photo. And I often get a crash when I hit the shutter interface. Some buttons are often unclickable, or really hard to hit, especially near the corners of the screen. (and not just the ones that are disabled in certain modes) I’m hoping a future version of PureShot or iOS will correct these problems, but for now I can anticipate at least one crash per day of use. And most issues are repeatable.

The Best Camera App!

This is by far the best camera app I have ever used! With full manual control and a great ui I have been able to take fantastic photos. I especially like the bracket functionality and the ability to save photos as a lossless file format. Thank you and keep up the great work!

Biggest Bang for the Buck… ever

$2.99 installs the digital innards of a full blown 35mm digital cam into your iPhone. Astounding. Best value for 2.99… ever.

Helps execute creative ideas.

We see many pictures that could have been wonderful, but were snuffed out or limited with a careless filter or automatic gizmo. I like PureShot because it lacks the junk filters and so forth but gives you access to all of the API’s on offer from Apple. As a result, you can create a very nice photo and go from there.

F.I.N.E. Fine!

Top shelf man. This is as close to DSLR on your iPhone as your gonna get. Just dont get carried away with it for long periods of time, itll get a little warm to the touch. Are you pickin up what Im throwin down?

App description is a lie

I bought this app because my current camera app, VSCOcam, only lets me increase the exposure to .5 seconds. The description for this app claimed a max exposure of 1 second. However, despite checking and re-checking that I have the exposure set to 1sec, the EXIF data for my images reveals that the exposure time for all was only .5 sec, so essentially I paid 3 dollars for something I already had. Complete thievery, nothing less.

Buggy - Freezes and Crashes, has some potential

The application itself does allow more access to camera controls than the Apple app, however it comes at a significant cost. The app on ios9 latest + iPhone 6s takes a long time too launch. in fact it is the only app that is not lightening fast on this new device. So this will lead to lost shots. It also tends to crash and freeze constantly. It has potential, but this release is no good. Keep trying.

Full control camera app

PureShot gives me more control, more options for customization, and more fun than the other camera apps I use.

Has potential

Crashes each time I try to take a picture... It worked once and never again

Will not open!

I want my $$ back! The app dosent even open! 3$ for an app that dosent even open?
